Meet Lilian
MY STORY
I’m Lilian Lum Mbah—a Niagara Falls resident, entrepreneur, community leader, wife and mother. My journey has taken me across different countries, cultures and communities, but one thing has remained constant: my commitment to serving people.
For almost a decade, I have worked in senior care and community-based services. As the founder of Divine Favour Homecare, I have had the privilege of working closely with seniors, families, caregivers and people with disabilities. This work has taken me beyond offices and boardrooms and into the everyday realities of people’s lives.
I have seen the pressures families face when caring for loved ones, the impact of loneliness and isolation, the challenges of navigating support systems, and the difference it makes when someone simply listens, shows up and helps.
I am also an entrepreneur who understands what it takes to build a business, create opportunities and keep going through challenges. These experiences have shaped how I see leadership: listen to people, understand the problem, bring people together and GET THINGS DONE.
Niagara Falls is home, and I want to contribute my experience, energy and service to building an even stronger community for everyone.
Why I’m Running
I’m running because I believe every resident of Niagara Falls deserves a safe place to call home, the support to thrive mentally and emotionally, and a real opportunity to build a better life—for themselves and their families.
Through my work and community involvement, I hear directly from vulnerable people, seniors, caregivers, families, business owners and residents. I see the challenges people are facing, but I also see the tremendous potential within our city between us residents.
I believe municipal leadership should be visible, easily accessible and responsive. Residents should feel heard—not only during an election, but throughout.
I am running to bring a practical, community-focused voice to City Council—one that listens, collaborates and works to turn good ideas into meaningful action.
This campaign is about Voice. Service. Opportunity. And above all, it is about getting things done for Niagara Falls residents.
Community Leadership
For me, community leadership is not a title—it is about showing up, serving and taking action. I believe strongly in meeting people where they are, especially seniors, families, youth and vulnerable members of our community.
My community involvement includes volunteering with local organizations and senior living communities, supporting youth programs, and contributing to initiatives that protect and empower vulnerable children and families. I have volunteered with the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara, Birchway Niagara and BGC Niagara, and helped raise $4,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Niagara through a community fundraiser I organized.
I also support cultural and community initiatives that bring people together and promote inclusion. I champion local small businesses and entrepreneurs by creating opportunities for visibility, connection and networking, and by sharing information and resources that can help them grow.
Education and prevention are central to my community work. I regularly organize educational events and community conversations on brain wellness, dementia, caregiving, healthy aging, togetherness and community well-being.
I also serve on community boards and councils, including the Women in Niagara Council, where I contribute to conversations affecting women, families and our broader community.
Whether I am volunteering, speaking, advocating, supporting an initiative or simply having a conversation with a resident, my approach remains the same: show up, listen and serve.
Awards & Experience
Lilian brings almost a decade of experience in senior care, entrepreneurship, community service and advocacy. She holds an MBA and is a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) and StrongerMemory Facilitator.

Let’s Get Things Done
My campaign is focused on practical priorities that affect the everyday lives of Niagara Falls residents. I believe good leadership starts by listening to residents, serving with accountability, and creating opportunities for people and businesses to thrive.
1. Mental Health & Wellness
Promote proactive health and brain wellness, including Alzheimer’s, dementia and diabetes awareness, while strengthening mental and emotional well-being for families, seniors, caregivers and youth.
2. Mitigating Homelessness
Focus on housing, stability and prevention—working collaboratively to address homelessness while supporting pathways toward greater stability and independence.
3. Small Business, Expansion & Opportunity
Promote entrepreneurship and local job creation, help small businesses grow and thrive, and encourage residents to become ambassadors for Niagara Falls and its tourism economy.
